Frequently Asked Questions
Q. I literally have no clue how to pose or “be sexy.” What do I do?
A. First of all, it will just be the two of us during your shoot, and I assure you I am far more awkward than most people I know. It’s the easiest way to your laughter, so you’re welcome. ;)
Second, none of the women in my portfolio are models. NONE. I will be guiding you throughout the whole process, from prepping for your shoot, to posing and breathing during your shoot. I’ve got you. All you really need to do is show up.
Q. What should I wear?
A. Wear whatever you feel beautiful in, duh!
Okay, I know that answer isn’t what you were looking for, but seriously. Look for things you might already have in your closet, like an over-sized sweater, bodysuit, robe, bra and panty sets. Lingerie is always popular, and many women choose to shoot completely nude or implied nude during their shoot as well. During our session, you’ll have time for 3-4 outfit changes, so keep that in mind. Once you’ve booked your session with me, I’ll also be sending over a detailed guide to help with wardrobe suggestions and even places to find new pieces if you wish. You will also have access to my client lingerie collection.

Q. Will you use my images on your website, portfolio, or social media?
A. Your images will never be shared without your permission! Your privacy is extremely important to me.
In the event that you are proud of your beautiful images, and you will allow me to share them, you will determine the extent of which I’m even able to show (i.e. only ambiguous body shots, only “tasteful” and clothed, etc.), and you will never be tagged on Instagram or Facebook unless you ask me to.
Q. What should I do to prepare for my shoot?
A. All of your questions will be answered in detail for you in the Luxe Imagery Prep Guide, which is emailed to you shortly after booking your session. This will cover exactly how you should prepare, physically and mentally, for your photo shoot, as well as a complete list of resources for your wardrobe.
Q. Is hair & makeup provided? How will they know what I like or don’t like?
A. Absolutely! A professional hair & makeup artist will sit down with you to discuss how you typically do your makeup and anything you dislike or would not consider doing. My goal for you is to still look like YOU, so we’ll always keep that in mind. This is your time to relax, enjoy your glass of wine, and chat with the artist about about anything and everything.
Q. How far in advance should I book?
A. My earliest availability is about 6 weeks out. There can always be exceptions, so make sure to reach out ASAP just in case. I suggest you book your experience at least 2 months prior to your deadline.
Q. What is the turnaround time on printed products?
A. Products usually can take about 5 weeks to arrive depending on the time of year (holidays can take longer). I place product orders within 48 hours of your shoot. I suggest planning your boudoir experience at least 2 months prior to your deadline if you need something for a birthday, anniversary, wedding, etc.
Q. Can you ship my products directly to me?
A. I pride myself in the customer experience and that means making sure every little detail is taken care of. I ship all products to my studio in order to ensure everything is perfect for you. But, there is always room for exceptions, so if you are traveling from afar, or will not be able to make it back to the studio for your product, we can certainly discuss drop shipping them to you!
Q. How long does the experience last?
A. This day is all about you, so set some time aside to enjoy it without the pressure of getting back to work, picking up the kids, or rushing to that spin class. Sit back, have a glass of bubbly, sparkling water, and a light snack and ENJOY the experience.
With that said, hair & makeup will take about an hour, we’ll chat for a few minutes and go through your outfits, then shoot for 1-1.5 hours. I’ll send you away for some coffee and/or a bite to eat for 60-90 minutes while I go through your photos, select my favorites, and do a very light edit. When you come back, you’ll get to see them all!! We’ll go through them together while you choose your favorites and even design your album together. Plan for about 5 hours total. ;)
Q. How much does the experience cost?
A. My session fee is $500. Album collections start at $800, and most women spend an average of $2200 on collections and additional items.
Q. Can I bring friends to the shoot?
A. Feel free to have 1 friend join you for your shoot! They are welcome as long as they leave posing, directing, and fixing hair/makeup to me. You know what would be even more fun? Booking photoshoots on the same day, so you and your bestie can share the experience together.
Your spouse or partner is NOT allowed in the room with you while shooting. This time is for YOU, and I don’t want you worrying about your loved one watching or influencing you in any way. Trust me, it’ll be far more enjoyable for you!
Q. How long will it take to see my photos? How will I select my favorite photos from my shoot?
A. I am excited to offer in-person photo viewing and ordering sessions just about 90 minutes after your photo session! I do this first, for your convenience. I have a system down for helping you decide between images, and assisting you with getting a good variety for your album or the perfect wall art. We will literally create your album right here! Because I might show a lot of images, it can be overwhelming to navigate on your own at home and I really don't want you to have to spend the time trying to wade through all your amazing images! The in-person photo reveal is probably my favorite part of this whole process!
Q. What is included in the session fee?
A. The session fee of $349 includes the photo shoot with me, professional hair and makeup application, retouching of your images, and an in-person image viewing where we’ll select your favorites together and build your album or other products THE SAME DAY OF YOUR SHOOT!
Q. Can I print my favorite images? What products do you offer?
A. Umm, YES!!!
I want you to go home with everything you are in love with, so we’ll build your album or any products you wish to order, to suit your wants and needs.
I offer albums, metallic wall art, and/or digital images available for purchase. Web resolution digital files are included in some of the album collections, and are available for purchase as well.
Q. Where will my photoshoot take place?
A. My studio and office are located in Downtown Auburn, California.
Q. Do you photoshop?
A. I use far less photoshop and editing techniques than most photographers. I prefer to keep you beautiful in your own natural way, and will use posing, lighting, and angles to enhance your specific body type. I will smooth skin, edit out minor blemishes or flaws that are not permanent, as well as simple things like under-eye circles and small scars upon your request, but I do not perform any “body morphing.”
Q. On which days of the week do you perform photoshoots?
A. I have the luxury of flexibility. I can shoot any day of the week, so let’s find the date that works best for you!
