For some women, pregnancy can bring on feelings of inadequacy or trigger shame and negative feelings about our body image, especially if those are things we’ve dealt with in the past. But pregnancy is such a special time in our lives, A time when we need to nourish and love our body more than ever before.

Celebrate what your body is achieving for you and your family. Give yourself grace in this special time. (Because you sure will need the practice when baby arrives!)

Maternity Photo Session - FAQ’s

Q. What do I wear to a maternity photoshoot?

A. There are so many options you might already have in your closet! Aside from scoping Pinterest boards, I’ll be sending you a Prep Guide to help you choose outfits to accentuate your gorgeous baby body so you have a variety of options in your images.

Q. Can my partner join the photoshoot?

A. Your partner is welcome to come along to the shoot if they want to help you carry things, be there to support you, or step in as my “assistant!” However, this photo experience is FOR YOU. In alignment with my purpose here at Luxe Imagery, I’m here to celebrate the female body; to empower women to love and appreciate themselves, no matter where they’re at in life. This experience is to capture you in this special moment and embrace your femininity when it’s working its hardest for you. If you’re looking for a family maternity photoshoot, I will not be the right photographer for you, and that’s totally okay!

Q. Where does the photoshoot take place?

A. In my opinion, the most gorgeous maternity photos are taken outdoors, so my preferred location is somewhere we can enjoy the sunset and capture you in natural, soft lighting. If you have a particular location in mind, we can discuss, otherwise I’ll choose the location based on the time of year that will work best for us. My studio is also available for a more modern/fine art feel.

Q. Is professional hair and makeup provided?

A. Yes! Your session fee includes professional hair and makeup, so you don’t have to worry about anything but bringing your beautiful self and your outfits!
